QC Inspector

Individual contributor responsible for ensuring that product is properly inspected and meets customer requirements. Additionally, individual assists production departments in training mold machine operators for specific product/customer requirements.

Must:

1. Have 2 YEARS PREVIOUS INSPECTION EXPERIENCE
2. Able to perform RECEIVING, FIRST ARTICLE AND FINAL INSPECTION
3. Able to READ BLUEPRINTS
4. Able to USE MEASURING TOOLS

• 2 years of previous inspection experience
• Ability to interpret blueprints and assembly schematics
• Performs Receiving, First Article and Final inspection, using a variety of measurement devices including hand measurement tools, comparators and smartscope.
• Prepares and maintains all Customer/Supplier documentation – i.e. Certificate of Conformance and/or Test Data.
• Verifies certificates of compliance meet the requirements of the drawing and the purchase order.
• Understands and can apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) to inspection methods.
• Initiates Nonconforming Material Reports (NCM) as necessary and ensures proper segregation practices and material movement.
• Is knowledgeable of applicable military specifications and ISO 9001.
• Ability to perform product audits.
• Assists in the training of new Inspector of related personnel as requested.
• Participates in MRB activities.
• Ability to competently and efficiently use the ERP system for data entry, material Ability to use common office equipment, such as copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.
• Ability to utilize time effectively so the maximum quantity of work is performed daily.
• Performs office tasks, such as scanning and filing.
• Must be able to work independently or in close groups.
• Adheres to housekeeping standards in al work areas which includes sweeping area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Quality Assurance.
